A decade in review...or maybe not....
Its the first day of the new year, and also the first of a new decade....a time when newspapers, blogs, social media etc look at the year gone by, the decade gone by....some at economy, the markets, or the nation itself...others at their own personal selves.... What about my own look-back? But before that, why do we look back at all at the past? One possible reason is ofcourse if you have memories worth cherishing..., of great times, of major successes...even of excuriating failures.... The other reason is to look back and learn from the past.... But here's the thing, is there such a thing called learning from the past , at all? Something that can be applied in day to day everyday life? Even if there is, isnt a decade too long a time? Or sometimes even a year? Is whats relevant for you when you are 15 remotely relevant at 25? Or whats relevant to you at 25 relevant at 35? Or whats relevant at 35 relevant at 45? Human life, even if for 80-90 years, is ultimately short ...
