You are always getting closer to your goals

Ok, that heading is an oversimplification but a thought that came up in my mind a few weeks back is this. You are at any point doing one of these 3:

1. Either getting closer to your goal.  In which case you need to stay the course

Or

2. Getting farther away from it.  In which case there are 2 possibilities

a. You are getting farther but with a realistically high probability that this is a blip.  in which case you need to stay the course. And with some faith.  and with some tweaks in strategy

b. You are getting farther with a decreasing probability of getting in there.  In which case.....

You simply need to Make New Goals! Ones you can get closer to!

3. You are just measuring them wrong.  Again this could be in two ways

a. You are getting closer but you think you are getting farther. The losing faith early situation.

b. You are getting farther but you think you are getting closer.  The delusion situation

Well in the second case,  you again recalibrate and just form new goals. Unless you are in a state of permanent delusion

But well permanent delusion isn't a bad thing either.  In a way there's nothing better than that , reality after all is what you make of it!

So yes in all these scenarios,  you are getting closer to your goals, just that the goals aren't quite a static thing.  You either just keep the faith,  go on the same track or change strategies or simply if that doesnt work, change the goals.
