The whole specrrum of delusion and reality check

1. You are god"s greatest gift to mankind

2. You are special in this universe with multiple great things destined to happen to you no matter what

3. You are special in this universe with multiple great things destined to happen go you if you put in effort

4.  You are speclal in this universe and you have a lot of time in the world to do many many good things 

5. You are special in this universe and something great is destined to happen to you

6. You are special in this universe and  there is a lot of time in this world to do that something which will make you great

7. You are special in this universe and a few good things will happen to you for the rest of your life which makes good for the lot of ordinary

8. You are special in this universe  and a few good things will happen sometime in the future if not forever , that will make it worth it for all the ordinarinesss that precedes it and is after it

9. You are special  in this universe and the not so great things that happen to you , happen to you because it all has some grand meaning

10 . You aren't all that special in this universe but are good enough, to make great some of the not so good things that happen to you

11. You aren't all that special in this universe but better enough than a whole lot of others,  

12. You aren't all that special, but are better enough than  a whole lot of others,  in your own mind

13. You arent all that special, better than some, worse than some,  but with a good deal of effort, you can catch up with many

14. You arent all that special, and there are lots and lots in the universe that are more special than you in gods mind but honestly it doesn't matter

15. You are quite ordinary in the universe but honestly it doesnt matter,  you still have a whole lot of time to find meaning and happiness within that broad spectrum of ordinariness

16. You are quite ordinary in this universe and maybe there won't be all that much meaning you will ever find in this universe but that's still ok as your current state continues

17. You are less than ordinary in this universe but there's time to catch up to make it ordinary enough

18. You are less than ordinary in this universe and there are bad times and good times but it's cyclical and there will be good times that will come ( again?)

19. You are less than ordinary in this universe and some things are not fixable but that's ok as long as you can make good with a few other things

20. You are less than ordinary in this universe and there isn't enough time to fix a lot of things

21.. You are pretty much irrelevant in the universe and there actually is a lot of time,  just not enough to make yourself relevant

22. You are pretty much irrelevant in the universe and it really doesn't matter what you fix what you get right what you don't , whether you are relevant,  whether you are irrelevant

Incorrigible optimism

 I must have mentioned on this blog somewhere and probably more than once that the most important thing is..."to have something to look forward to". And I think that's so true. But if one can't find that thing,  worry not.  There's a second best thing.  What if you can find things that you do NOT look forward to,  or are things that you don't really enjoy but are things that have to be done or stuff that one has to just make it through.  What you can look forward to,  is for those type of things to get over.  Be and done with.  Can be anything from the very mundane to the important. Pretty sure most of us have those things at various points. And for them to get over is something to look forward to. In a weird sort of way,  both having something to look forward to, and having something you DO NOT look forward to have the same sense of anticipation. Inner peace

 In the last few days, been experiencing a strange ( positively strange!) sense of inner peace-- the sort Master Shifu was trying to teach Po, the Kung Fu Panda. Ok maybe not quite :)...but close. Its early days yet but touchwood, may it last a while  And its not because things are going great. Objectively, by any measure,  to be brutally honest,  they probably are not. Yet there's some rare sense of assured calm.  It isn't that there aren't any self doubts -- but they are self doubts that are resulting in self realization of one's own strengths and weaknesses. It isn't that there are no regrets,  but there's a sense of acceptance of one's own limitations and a sense of confidence in one's own values , that help "manage regrets".  It isn't that I am making best use of time,  that scarce commodity on earth,  but i am making better use of it.  It isn't that I feel I have unlimited time,  but I feel that there's enough to discover myse...
